This portfolio will be showcasing all of the work that has been personally undertaken for the module; Digital Game Development Essentials. The work located inside of the portfolio will explain the understandings of how to implement 3 mini game/mechanics inside of an engine, as well as demonstrate several complications that were discovered during development.
My role/aims:
The main roles that are focused are in Game Design and Sound Design. Meaning the ambitions for the projects were to try and create mechanics that would feel relevant towards these two roles specifically, improving personal skills within these set roles.
Additionally, trying to explore new roles that had weaker or more limited expertise in; such as 3D modelling inside of Blender, as well as showing perseverance skills. Doing so would help further improve the abilities of being a good Game Designer, whilst also overcoming great challenges throughout the development process.
Throughout these projects, many challenges had to be overcome in order to succeed in completing the tasks that were initially planned via research and from personal goals. This portfolio; will show how these problems were found, dealt with accordingly and as a solo developer, accomplish the initial goals/ambitions that were expected from the final product.
